Briefly describe your job responsibilities as a manager. Ans: I have to train and recruit new members that join our team to become efficient in sales and also make them understand their job and familiarize with it. I also have to set sales target for our company and team and then allocate jobs for them to do and also set a target for them to work towards. Monitoring the team's performance is also my job and I have to encourage them so that they'll be motivated to work hard. b. What is your management style? Ans: My management style? I'm not sure about that but I will be sure to keep close on my team's performance and also take note of the things that motivates them so that I can help when they are depressed or tired. I will also share the team's performance with everyone in the team so that they know what they did and in this way, we can discuss how we can achieve our targets and how to set it too. I would also tell them my expectations of them so that they know what they need to do. The result is of course important. If not why keep them? So I would notify them when their performance is dropping so that they will keep up the sales for the company. (From his answer, I think he's more to the modern approaches in the way of management effectiveness and total quality management.) c. What are some of the difficulties you face as a manager? Ans: I think most of the difficulties would be things like recession and the employees performance. During those times, it's the hardest as sales would be bad and writing reports so these results are depressing. d. How do you overcome these difficulties? Ans: I would be more optimistic so as to stay in task and also hope that sales would pick up. If not, my team would also be affected and sales would drop even more. It is important to believe that you can make it. e. In your opinion, what makes a good manager? Ans: I think a good manager is when your team trust you and also would work hard so that we can perform well and show it to our company. It is also important that you have to work up to their expectations.
